| As twin sisters who separately studied oil
painting and printmaking, we symbiotically collaborate by creating
fiber appliqué wall hangings. While attempting to combine
the conventional elements of our respective disciplines, it
was our interest in working together that brought us to fiber. |

| From our preliminary sketches to the final stitching of our signature, we create the work using
a method of layering and overstitching before we exchange the pieces, allowing them to emerge
spontaneously. |

| Our individual
styles influence each other, resulting in our interpretations of architecture and nature that are
representational. The fracturing of shape and saturation of color occur layer by layer - allowing
the texture of the fiber to build the imagery as we've responded to it. |
